In Bloom is a directory of sites & pages dealing with sexual child abuse, child battery & neglect, rape, domestic violence and the long-term after-effects of these violent crimes. It is free from advertising and only lists sites that are non-commercial or where a large quantity of information is available at no cost. In Bloom is not connected with any professional or commercial entities, offers no professional opinions, provides no therapy or medical services and makes no referrals or claims of healthcare expertise.

In Bloom is LGBTQ-friendly, pro-female, pro-male survivor and anti-hate. In Bloom is strictly committed to child-safe and family-involved use of the Internet. Due to the adult nature of the topics addressed on this site, you must be 18 and over to enter In Bloom.

If you are under 18, click HERE; if you are under 18 and in immediate danger of violence of any kind or you feel you may self-injure, please dial 911.

All of the sites on In Bloom are responsible for their own content.

This page was constructed by HTML novices and may load slowly. If an icon does not load properly, right click on it and select the "show picture" option. Thank you for your patience.

About In Bloom

About Using the Internet as a Recovery Tool

Many survivors of abuse face long term emotional, physical and psychological damage. Although connecting with other survivors can be an invaluable part of recovering, In Bloom urges all survivors to seek out help and guidance from qualified medical and mental health professionals who have expertise and experience in issues related to violence and trauma. In Bloom also urges survivors to become informed consumers. When using the Internet as a recovery tool, remember: unless it is specifically and plainly indicated, assume all sites are not the work of professional licensed healthcare providers. In Bloom suggests all survivors take a proactive role in their own recovery. Determine for yourself- or with the help of your healthcare provider or therapist- the legitimacy of any professionally or personally created website you discover online.

A Bill of Rights for Survivors

You Have the Right . . .

To live your life according to your own values and judgment.

To direct your recovery, answerable to no one for your progress.

To seek help and direction from many places, unhindered by demands for exclusivity.

To decline help.

To have faith in your own ability to heal and to seek allies who share it.

To trust others as much as any adult can trust another, but no more.

To be afraid and to avoid what frightens you.

To decide if, when, and where to confront your fear.

To learn by experimenting, that is, to make mistakes.

You Have the Right . . .

To be touched only with your permission.

To choose to speak or remain silent.

To choose to accept or decline the opinions of others.

To challenge any crossing of your boundaries.

To stop any trespass that doesn't cease when challenged.

You Have the Right . . .

To ask for explanation of communications you do not understand.

To express a contrary view when you do understand and you disagree.

To express your feelings, without having to justify them.

To ask for changes when your needs are not being met.

To speak or not speak of your experiences, doubts and uncertainties.

To resolve doubt without deferring to the views or wishes of anyone.
